How to beat Absol
You rarely need to wall Absol — you outspeed or out-prioritize it. Fighting and Fairy hit it super-effectively, and priority moves (Mach Punch, Bullet Punch, Ice Shard) revenge-kill it outright. Its one trick is Sucker Punch, which FAILS if you don't use an attacking move that turn — so a status move, a setup move, or simply switching blanks it completely. Mega Absol (past gens) adds Magic Bounce but stays just as fragile.

Absol in Pokémon GO
In Pokémon GO, Absol is a budget Dark-type glass-cannon attacker (Snarl + Payback / Dark Pulse) — it hits hard and faints just as fast, so bring it for damage, not longevity.

What is Absol weak to?
As a Dark-type, Absol takes super-effective damage from Fighting, Bug, Fairy. Pair it with teammates that resist those types — the team builder starts you off with Absol and flags the rest of your team’s shared weaknesses as you go.
Absol FAQ
How do you beat Absol?
Outspeed it, revenge-kill it with priority, or bring a Fighting- or Fairy-type — all three hit its frail defenses super-effectively. It has no recovery, so chip damage sticks.
Why did Absol’s Sucker Punch fail?
Sucker Punch only works if the target uses an attacking move that same turn. If you use a status move, set up, or switch, Sucker Punch does nothing.
Is Absol good competitively?
It’s a niche wallbreaker and revenge killer with a great Attack stat and priority, but its fragility and lack of recovery keep it out of the top tiers.
