Ability tip — Its terror is Huge Power, which DOUBLES its Attack — a modest base 105 becomes one of the strongest attacking stats anywhere, and it comes with Sucker Punch priority. It’s also a past-gen Mega Evolution: legal in National Dex and Gen 6–7, NOT in Scarlet/Violet.

How to beat Mawile-Mega

Mega Mawile hits absurdly hard but is painfully slow and locked into its Mega slot. Two ways through: strike its 2× weaknesses with Fire or Ground before it moves, or neutralize the Attack itself — a burn or an Intimidate drop turns the wallbreaker into a wet noodle. Respect Sucker Punch: don’t revenge it with a weak priority move or a locked attacker — a status move or a switch makes Sucker Punch fail outright. Remember it only appears in National Dex / Gen 6–7 formats.

Mawile-Mega FAQ

What is Mega Mawile weak to?

Only two types — Fire and Ground (both 2×). Its Steel/Fairy typing resists or is immune to almost everything else, which is what makes it so hard to switch into.

Why does Mega Mawile hit so hard?

Its Huge Power ability doubles its Attack stat, so despite a modest base 105 Attack it hits like one of the strongest physical attackers in the game — and Sucker Punch gives it priority.

Is Mega Mawile in Scarlet and Violet?

No. Mega Evolution isn’t in Scarlet/Violet — you’ll only find Mega Mawile in National Dex formats and the Gen 6–7 games.
