Read your team’s weaknesses at a glance
Each row is one of the 18 attacking types; each column is one of your Pokémon. Red cells take super-effective damage, green resist, blue is immune. Scan the Weak column for any type that lights up across several members — that shared weakness is what a laddering opponent will target. Showdown team-building tips
- Check for a stacked weakness before you ladder. Three teammates weak to the same type is a free win for the opponent — the chart flags it so you don’t find out mid-set.
- Cover the common offensive types. Aim for at least one resist or immunity to Fairy, Ground, Fire and Ice, which show up on most Showdown ladders.
- Balance coverage, not just defense. Tap into individual threat weakness pages to make sure your attackers actually hit the picks you’ll face.

How do I import a Pokémon Showdown team?
Click "Import" in the builder above, paste the export you copied from Showdown’s teambuilder (the block that starts with each Pokémon’s name, item and ability), then confirm. All six Pokémon load with their moves, items, abilities and Tera type, and the type-weakness chart updates instantly.
Can I export my team back to Pokémon Showdown?
Yes. Once your six are set, the builder gives you a Showdown-format export you can copy straight into Showdown’s Import/Export box, so you can move a team you planned here onto the Showdown ladder without retyping it.
Does the Showdown team builder show shared weaknesses?
That’s the point of it. After you import, every attacking type is charted against all six Pokémon at once. Any type that hits three or more of your team super-effectively is flagged so you can spot the hole a laddering opponent will aim at — before it costs you a game.
